I have a piece of glass we received in 1964 as a wedding gift. I have always liked it because of it's classic look and very wonder feel. Lately I have seen several articles referring to Murano Glass and wondered if I have such a piece. I am attaching 2 photos. It is gray and measures approx 8"x8".
I would find your opinion very interesting.

Does the piece have any markings, signatures or lables on it? Without that it's hard to say if it's Murano glass, but looking at the coloring it doesn't look like Murano glass. It's usually much bolder, brighter colors. I have seen black Murano glass that is opaque though. This could be Scandinavian or Czech glass.

Jena,
Thank you for your thoughts. There are no markings - It's heavy & the base (which I showed in one of the pics) is very a clean cut. Forgive my description, I'm not an expert in this field. I just like it, it was a wedding gift, so wouldn't want to part with it but some of the designs I've seen in the Murano line appeared to be similair. Thanks again, Mickie

No problem. I wish I could have been of more help. Maybe someone else on the forums will have more information. It is a beautiful piece.
