I finally figured out how to post for everyone to respond so I am sending you my query. I recently purchased this vase (attached pictures) at a yard sale for $3.00. The only marking is a gold sticker that reads Maestri Vetrai with a sweeping A and sticker on the bottom that reads made in Italy. When attempting to find this on the internet I kept being sent to Morano or Venetian Glass. This is also how I came across your site. This vase is so beautiful. It almost looks as if the spotted parts of the glass are inlaid beneath clear glass. When rubbing my hand across the finish I can feel - I think- something similar to bubbles (or slightly raised surfaces), yet they can not be seen and are not very profuse. This may just be my imagination :o because the pattern is so inately beautiful to me. Can you help me identify this piece? Any info would be helpful. The darker browns are the real color - the lighter, more reddish are the vase held under light. I've also taken pictures of the inside. The vase measures: 13-1/2" tall and 25-1/2" around the widest part. And, if you can help me post this so others might be able to respond, I would be ever so grateful!

Thanks.

I just found this vase on e-bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Maestri-Vetrai-Murano-Type-Glass-Vase-SUPER_W0QQitemZ7359723547QQcategoryZ994QQrdZ1QQcmd ZViewItem
This has the same label. Maybe this will help in identifying and maybe valuing this vase.

Hi. The vase is made in Italy, as the label states, but not in Murano. I could not find any information about the mfr inany of my literature.

Hi. I rec'd your PM and viewed the posts, but besides seeing the label a few times, I am not familiar with this manufacturer at all. Sorry that I could not be of more help.
