Hello!!! I wrote an email to the main Fossilfly Imports website asking if they could give me some info on a small collection of Murano glass that I picked up at an estate sale. I was directed to this forum. I have a picture of one of the pieces so I thought Id make this a test post to see if the pic uploads ok,lol. If all goes ok,Ill take a group pic and post it. I basicly buy at estate auctions to resell on ebay or at antique/consignment shops to make a few extra bucks. I usually stay with China or Hummels but couldnt resist the beauty of these Murano pieces so I picked them up. Some basic info.... I only buy from very reputable and knowledgable auctioneers. This small collection came out of an estate that was full of nothing but high quality items. No junk in the house at all. I was told that these are Murano glass items, that they are not antique. The only other thing that he said was that they sell in the $300 - $400 price range. OK,this piece is one of the smaller ones, it measures 17" long, 7" wide and 8" tall. It is flawless,no fleabites, scratches or anything. I love this color!!!! I hope this loads....

Thanks, arlblaster

Ive seen 2-3 similar vases in the past few months, and they were all from Murano. If I remember correctly, they were worth $100-$150 in excellent condition.

Does it have a signature or Murano sticker? This would also help identify and authenticate it more accurately.

No,no markings or stickers of any kind on any of them. They are all very solid and very heavy. Below is a group pic of about 7 of the pieces. There are a few more that came with this lot,a couple are much smaller bowls. I did find a few similar items for sale on this webpage http://www.memoryworks.ca/catalog.php?cat=113
The pieces look to be of the same style, just different colors. 50's - 60's handblown glass from Murano. I have also found a similar style that is called stretched glass, that discription seems to fit very well here :)

OK,thanks for any help. Feel free to ask any other questions. Im trying to gather as much info as posible before I unleash these on ebay. Id hate to call them Murano and get a stack of rude emails if they are not, lol.

Thanks,Kenny

I'd put the others in the same range, maybe a little lower, $75-$100.
Not because of the quality, but they are relatively large and abstract, so it might be a little more difficult to find a buyer. Regardless, they are wonderful, and you should consider keeping a piece or two for yourself.
